How our club works
WAGS Members meet regularly to enjoy the company of other dog owners and to allow their dogs to socialise with other dogs (of all breeds). Each event consists of a walk in the countryside, followed by hot or cold food and beverages.
Although the majority of dogs are German Shepherd Dogs, we welcome all breeds to walk with us. All you need to do is let us know you’d like to join us for an upcoming event.
Most of our walks have concentrated on the South Wiltshire (Salisbury/Salisbury Plain) area – although we do go further afield on occasion: see Past Events.
Due to the hazards of too many dogs attending one event, we usually require you to book and pay in advance. Details of all upcoming walks and how you can book are always posted on our website under Upcoming Events. We operate on a ‘first come, first served’ basis and we encourage you to book early.
Who can become a member
Any person who has a love for dogs (irrespective of dog ownership) is welcome to join us.
What does it cost
The current subscription, renewable annually, is £15 per household. Your first walk with us allows you to get to know us and Membership will not be due until your second walk.
Additionally, there is a small charge for each walk/event according to the refreshments offered.
Application for Membership
WAGS holds Public Liability Insurance. To ensure you and your dog(s) are covered by this insurance, please fill out the Provisional Application For Membership form prior to your first walk with us. You may wish to complete the form on-line to save time at the walk. Or, you may access a printable version of the form here and bring it with you on your first walk. Applications will also be available at each walk. Application does not commit you to Membership and there is nothing to pay at this time.
