Grovely Wood Strawberries & Cream Tea
12 July, 2009
Fifteen dogs and nineteen people had a lovely muddy walk at Grovely Wood, near Wilton, on Sunday 12th.
A lovely muddy walk.
Wellies were the order of the day and Jacky wore her best Alfie-eaten pair!

Amber leads the charge through the mud.
Molly entertains us.
Ann-marie with Kea, Jae and Alfie.
We squelched back to camp for strawberries and cream tea, followed by a few party tricks from the dogs.
Murphy and Alfie back at camp.
As a hushed audience watches, Amber balances a treat on her nose. At the magic word from Stewart...wait for it...she tosses the treat and snatches it out of the air...and eats it. Sorry folks - my lens was not fast enough. :-)
Amber shows us her 'balance-a-treat and go corss-eyed' trick.
There were plenty of other show-offs around. Kea shows us her chipmunk impersonation, while Minnie shows how she rides pillion on the back shelf of the car.
Minnie
This was Fly and Murphy’s first meeting and they formed an extraordinary friendship. Fly, a brave little chap that has no fear of the GSDs, picked Murphy out of the crowd as his friend. Murphy seemed bemused, but open to friendship.
An extraordinary friendship!

During the afternoon, a brave little dog called Orphee braved his way past the GSDs. Apparently, Orphee has a fear of GSDs. Meeting us must have been his worst nightmare. However, he managed to pull himself together and trotted past.
