Plea from Tess
Can you love me - I know I am just a cross
My only crime has been simply wanting to be boss
Other dogs in my home I cannot tolerate
But condemned to kennels really shouldn’t be my fate
Can you love me - I promise to be good
I will walk with you and play with you, as every good dog should
Manners I will learn, and fun I will bring
How happy I will be, if that frisbee you will fling
Can you love me - I really didn’t mean to be bad
Leaving my old home truly has made me sad
In the kennels alone I sit and mope
I prick up my ears when someone passes - I haven’t given up hope
Can you love me - I truly hope you can
It isn’t that I really think I have been let down by man
But how things could have been different, if only they had spent the time
To teach me how to be good, instead of letting me whine
Can you love me - please say that you might
So that I don’t have to spend another lonely night
Dreaming of a nice warm fire and possibly a bed
Could you love me - or is it all just in my head?
Tess is a 14 month old GSD/Rotti bitch. She is good with other dogs outside of the home and off the lead, but really does not tolerate them within her own boundaries. She is extremely intelligent and has such a lot of love to give.
